![]() So some where between 360 to 375 at the rear wheels. ![]() ![]() Exhaust is a big deal on the LS engines, so a full exhaust with long tube headers is worth close to 30-35 RWHP. The LS6 intake is pretty well known to add 10-15 RWHP, the Hot Cam should net another 20-25 RWHP. I will assume you are running an 8.5 10 bolt in yours, so bone stock the LS1 would probably do right at 300RWHP in your second gen. One of the reasons the 4th gen did so good at the tire patch was the twiggy 7.5 10 bolt rear. In the 4th gen ,it was rated at 305hp net at the flywheel, BUT Ive seen many manual equipped 4th gens make more than that at the rear wheels, bone stock. Someone stated earlier that the difference in weight between the iron and aluminum block are slight, but 80lbs on the front of a car set up to corner can make a pretty big difference.Īs far as power goes, lets look at what the LS1 has from the factory. If you are looking for good balance in a Pro Touring style build, I would go with the LS1.
